Halcyon has successfully achieved the BuildingConfidence accreditation having completed the online pre-qualification questionnaire and subject to a two day on-site audit.
The accreditation gives Halcyons customers confidence that the company are using a fair, open and transparent process for contractor selection.

Hartlepool College of Further Education has been put forward to the FPDC Awards 2011 for categories SFS, Drylining, Joinery and Render. The judging starts in October and results are announced at a later date

Halcyon resulted in being shortlisted in the FPDC Plasterers’ Awards 2010 for Steel Framed Systems. The 3 projects categorised:
Halcyon Building Systems Ltd has entered into the FPDC Plasterers' Awards 2010 for Steel Framed Systems for their successful contracts Orchard Park Health Centre, Hull, Beach Chalets, Northumberland and East Durham College, Peterlee.
The Judging period is due to start in August through to October 2010. Winners are due to be announced in February 2011.

Halcyon has become a member of the National Federation of Builders.
Halcyon has just been assigned a registration number for Construction Line - 86497.
This contract comprises of the combination between Halcyon SFS £650k, Halcyon Joinery £1.5m, Halcyon Drylining £1.3m and Halcyon Rend-Tech £500k.
Halcyon has been granted Construction Line Approval.
Halcyon is pleased to confirm accreditation in Quality Management Standard ISO 9001:2008 and Health & Safety Management Standard OHAS 18001:2008.


From this Halcyon will be working towards achieving ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management Standard on completion of the new office development.
New office development has begun at Trimdon Grange Industrial Estate to house the ever expanding divisions of Halcyon. The design is to incorporate a high quality modern building with an external Swedish theme with a large glazed entrance, terracotta tiles, subtle lighting and large spacious rooms. The whole process will see all Halcyon’s divisions working together as the group to develop the building with a seamless process from start to finish.
This development will not only accommodate Halcyon but welcome and introduce visitors to the new development to be named Halcyon Grange. Halcyon is expected to be accommodated in early 2011.
Halcyon Drylining & Joinery incorporating plaster work completed Sunderland University sports and social centre. 4 months due to completion work British Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology (Breeam) (Gold Standard) named it one of the UK's greenest buildings. This was reported in the Sunderland Echo.
